Striking a Chord for Stroke Awareness
Every year, supporters of Singapore’s community of stroke survivors come together for a special event to raise awareness of stroke among Singaporeans — and to raise funds to enable the Singapore National Stroke Association (SNSA) to continue its mission. This year, we warmly invite you to join us for an inspiring musical tribute to stroke survivors and their caregivers, many of whom face their everyday challenges with courage, hope and determination.
We are deeply privileged that Mr SR Nathan, the former President of the Republic of Singapore, and a recent stroke survivor himself, will be our Guest-Of-Honour.
“Striking a Chord for Stroke Awareness” will feature the talented Tanya Sen, a soprano who has enchanted audiences internationally with her gift of song. Lending her voice in support of stroke survivors and their caregivers, Tanya will be entertaining us with popular numbers from many well-loved modern musicals by composers such as Stephen Sondheim, Andrew Lloyd Webber and George and Ira Gershwin.
5:00pm: Reception at “Past 2 Present” Restaurant (outside the performance venue)
6:10pm: Doors Open
6:30pm: All Guests to be Seated / Performance Begins
8:00pm: Performance Concludes
We are pleased to offer tickets to this special evening in support of stroke survivors, for a kind donation to the Singapore National Stroke Association. Non-SNSA members are entitled to one ticket for every $100 donation; SNSA members are entitled to one ticket for every $25 donation. All donations are tax-deductible, and will be matched dollar-for-dollar under the Care and Share Movement. All proceeds will go towards funding SNSA’s programmes, allowing us to continue serving Singapore’s growing community of stroke survivors and their caregivers. SNSA is a registered Institution of Public Character (IPC).
